10:15AM Kevin Gascoyne and the “Champagne of Teas” – Exclusive Documentary Pre-screening
The London Tea & Kombucha Festival is proud to present this special pre-screening of Kevin Gascoyne’s Darjeeling documentary.Kevin has been traveling to the Himalayas as a tea-taster and buyer for over 25 years. The CBC has sent a documentary film crew to follow him on his annual quest for the select lots that represent the finest that the gardens of Darjeeling have to offer.This documentary, made and aired originally in French, has been translated and will be screened in English for this special event.

Do not miss this opportunity to observe an authentic Chinese tea ceremony! Discover the rituals and tools that have been used in the gongfu method of preparing tea for centuries. Kombucha Teas & Health Workshop

Come and enjoy a hands on tasting experience with various Kombucha brews alongside their different tea types to learn how they lend to varying kombucha flavour characteristics. Laura will also explain the health benefits of kombucha and how it can contribute to your digestive health! Be prepared to mindfully sip, learn and laugh lots as Laura is a vibrant instructor full of vibrant life, love and laughter!

Chado: Tea & Mindfulness Workshop

Workshop will begin with a demonstration of the basic Bonryaku Temae (盆略手前) a tray tea procedure. It is the most basic yet most versatile out of the many procedures in serving matcha.  All participants will be taught hands on how to properly prepare matcha (whisk their own bowl) and learn how It is something that can be applied to steeped teas by just switching the tea ware or other daily activities that can be made into a mindful ritual.
